The Smiths

Crap, I know, I’ve been a bad, bad blogger! This poor blog has gone neglected for too long! Let’s change that, shall we?

I’m not really feeling emo, but my friend DJ Todd M. suggested I spotlight The Smiths. Why not? I mean, who doesn’t like The Smiths? Don’t answer that! 😉

“Sheila Take a Bow”

“Girlfriend in a Coma”

“How Soon Is Now”

“This Charming Man”

“There Is A Light That Never Goes Out”

“Bigmouth Strikes Again” (taped at their last show)

  1. Mozz!!! The most outspoken vegetarian ever, woohoo some great stuff The Smiths did, such a shame we shall never see a reunion of this great band.

  2. Hey, thnaks agian for linking to me!

  3. I’d love the mozza even more if he didn’t cancel 2x the shows I had tickets too back in 94. I love his voice but, I have to say I enjoyed his work with the Smiths more than his solo stuff. But I do think Suedehead and Alsation Cousin are right up there. Johnny Marr rules!

  4. I never got into the Smiths, never was a shoegazer. Always thought he was a bit weird, although I appreciated the sentiment about hanging DJ’s as we had some of the most inane idiots running our major radio stations (and still do).

Only song I really like is How Soon Is Now, which I got into about 5-6 years ago as I love Marr’s guitar on it. Other than that, a bit ‘meh’.
