About The New Wave Diva

The New Wave Diva is Marilyn Thomas, a 30-something Diva DJ in Philadelphia, PA who LOVES new wave music from the 80s – then again she pretty much likes all music from the 80s!  Even some of the truly cheesy stuff. She spins every First Friday at Philadelphia’s only all new wave dance party Sex Dwarf.

The focus of this blog will predominantly be 80s new wave and alternative bands. However, she may stray out of the 80s occasionally.

    I’m having a 40th b-day party & wanted to play 80’s new wave favorites. Love your blog! It reminded me of music that I haven’t heard in a long time. Sure does bring me back!
